Hi,
I read an ebook by so-called search engine expert Michael
Campbell - Revenge of the Mininet - which goes into great
detail about complex linking arrangements between sites.
(Much of the ebook consisted of diagrams of these linking
arrangements.)
I then visited some search engine forums and members
were very scathing about Michael Campbell (his sites
all seemed to have no
PR - must have tried one too
many trick for Google's liking).
And I always think that when someone writes an article
(or ebook) about a technique or trick, then this technique has
stopped working.
Best thing to do (takes most time, though) is to create
a decent site. If a real live visitor says "wow!" then I
reckon Google will say "wow!" too.
Maybe this is theory too, but I don't think so.
