If you want to see back links on Google, do this

http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourc...s%2Eco%2Euk%2F

Can do same type of thing on other search engines.

You don't have any that Google has indexed yet and that's strange as you do have a Dmoz listing that is even in the Google Directory http://directory.google.co.uk/Top/Re...fice_Products/

He does have PR4 though so Google does think there are some backlinks there even if they don't show.

I think it is best to give Google another month before the PR/Backlink issue is settled. This all seems to be part and parcel of the changing in the update algorithm.

Would you consider PR4 to be good for a site of this type?

Well,

Searching for "ink cartridges" in Google UK returns a site with PR 3 (but 799 backlinks ?) so having a PR 4 should give you a chance to compete. Plus a DMOZ listing which is nice.

ahhh - but depends on onpage factors. I beat PR4's with a new PR0 due to good onpage optimisation

I did comment on this in another thread. Are we sure that TBPR 0 really is PR 0. I have some PR 0 pages that are listing well for some terms. But these PR 0 pages also show inbound links from TBPR 3/4 pages.

I agree that on page factors have re-emerged on Google somewhat.


Also, the site I mentioned in the search above does show 799 backlinks, quite a few from PR 5 sites, but is only showing TBPR 3. I am very suspicious of the TBPR at present.
