yer seems good so far, only noticed about an hour ago that its updated itself, didn't ask me or nothin don't even have control over my own toolbars anymore....

You can control the toolbar by clicking Google and then Options on the left of the toolbar.

yer i know about that, had a play with it earlier.

I was on about the fact that the toolbar just updated itself from the old google toolbar, to the new one all by itself.

I saw a post on WW recently where everyone was kicking off about the way it updated itself, saying that the TB was turning into another piece of scumware and that not prompting about updating itself wasa really bad idea.

Bit of an overreaction i think, i actually prefer not being bugged to upgrade something all the time and they did install it and tick their terms of service box so I don;t see the problem.

I was updating my Mcafee Virus Scan Online this morning, and for the second time within 3 days, it failed to update! I then noticed a paragraph on on the Mcafee page that says "All popup blocking software should be disabled before updating". I then allowed popups from this site on the Google Toolbar, and everything updated as it should!

This could have left me without the latest updates!
