Hi guys im really new to this search engine optimization. And need some help. I just made a web page and i made some metatags for keywords and one for the website description. Is that all i need to get my webpage indexed. if not what else do i need to do. Also i have a brief knowledge of meta tags. what exactly do they do for your web page.
although most search engines now index page content, rather than relying on the meta tags it is safe to include these tags in your pages as they are often indexed.
All you need to do to now get these pages included in the google index (or msn, yahoo etc) is to have somebody put a link from their (already indexed page) to yours.
Also i lve over sees if my web pgae ever gets indexed will it be viewable by just north america or is there something special i have to do to make it viewable in the uk?
if you have a uk domain and/or uk-based hosting (this needs to be specified - many uk companies sell us hosting) then you should be listed under uk specific results
