Google Links

I wonder if someone can provide some information about Google links.

I have a site that has thousands of pages indexed in Google, however many of them show no detail, just a link like this:

www.mydomain.co.uk/product/CD663673/results.html
Similar pages

With different product id numbers.

All the other pages from my site it has in it's index show 'proper' links with a Title, Description and cached link.

How do I get Google to pick up the content for these product pages, what is it that Google does not like ?

my site went like that - might be down to duplicate content with other sites or all your pages may be too similar perhaps?

Thanks for that.

I thought it may be due to similar content, so I used a tool mentioned on the forum to compare some of my product pages.

They came up as very similar, so I took most of the content from one of them (so the only thing left on the page was unique) then tried the compare tool again, it reported that they were about 98% alike !!! So I guessed the tool was not giving correct answers.

It often means that googlebot has spidered a link to your page, and so knows it exists, but has not yet spidered the page itself. If that's the case, you just have to be patient and wait for googlebot to come by!
