Following on from the Google shuffle disaster my sites have gone into orbit - lost in space. Yet, while monitoring Google and trying different search terms I find a site headed "directnic" being listed in multiple entries for almost for every result. There are a variety of differing URL's but they all end up at Direct Nic.

Now I've come across this name before while checking for terms specific to my site and they have returned results there too. I don't know what technology they use to be the major "top ranking" site but they seem to be blatantly nicking all the top places. I wonder if Google are happy with this, as it makes them very user unfriendly, and people will cease to use google I fear.

They certainly live up to their name - Direct Nick - as that's all they are doing. It annoys me when sharks like this come and eat all the sprats.

What do you know about Directnic folks?
How can we fight back ?

It seems to happen more when you use a full web address within quotes.....

"www.alpharooms.com"
"www.hotelpronto.com"

and also for terms like "milan hotel reservations"

The site - directmic.com is a domain registraar and all the sites I've seen are parking pages for sites "under construction". Examples are - www.elruna.com - www.akha.com - ww.bruzzi.com - www.dukesfurniture.com

They contain Overture sponsored sites. So Google is making more money for Overture and possibly less for themselves.

that's just ridiculous - not only is it rubbish for users but how on earth can half my pages be 'duplicate content' when they've so many identical domains?
