Google Adsense - Paying in £'s and with EFT too!

Noticed change in T&C's for Adsense when I logged in tonight, looks like they have added in the option to be paid in £'s as well as set up an EFT to be credited directly to your account for some users.

Has to be good news!

What forms of payment are available to me?

Google AdSense offers payment to publishers in US dollar cheques, and also offers local currency options for publishers in 43 countries. Secured Express Delivery is available to all publishers, and we're also excited to announce our BETA test of Electronic Funds Transfer in 15 countries.

Local currency cheques: Google will convert your earnings from US dollars into your local currency if this option is selected. Available to publishers in 35 countries, local currency cheques are generally less expensive to deposit at your bank, and take less time to clear. Secured Express Delivery: Secured Express Delivery ensures that your cheque arrives quickly and safely by using a courier service to send your cheque to you. You can find out more about Secured Express Delivery, including related fees, by reading What is Secure Delivery?

Its good news - if the dollar is strong. It would be good if they could eft in usd for those of us that have set up usd accounts to hold the dollars till the exchange rate improves.

Its also easier to defer payments if you wish for the $ rate to get better, though everything I've read has said its going to get quite a bit worse first.

The only thing I think they've missed is showing the reports in £'s rather than $'s (on hint, if you change you language to English US the prices show as $9999.99 rather than USD9999.99, which does make them easier to read).

They have are also added in a new type of ad unit in Ad Links.

Not bad, they've gone a long way from just handing US cheques, to now doing local ones. But the electronic funds transfer sounds so much better, it means you don't even have to get out of bed to go to the bank now!

I know this is an old thread, but how long do these payments normally take to clear? My November payment (for October clicks) hasn't appeared yet.
I've had cheques off them quicker than this before.

Electronic Funds Transfer. Basically the same as BACS I think.

my wife signed up to Google but forgot to confirm for the bacs and so was sent a chq which finally arrived today.

They normally appear in my bank around the 28-30th. A lot faster than the old cheque process as there no "X working days" to process international currency and also no administration charges other than standard bank commission rates. I think my bank used to charge me a minimum £7 or 1.5% over depending on which was greater.

I believe the threshold is $100, if you haven't had October I’d certainly chase it up as this has been paid for me.
