AdSense Ad Links - Anyone know anything about 'em?

Hi,

Just logged into Google AdSense and notice the option of
Ad Links, and was wondering if anyone knew if it was a
good option to go with or not (I know it depends, but...).

(Ad Links is new to me and I've read a couple of press releases
about it dated today - example - but they seem to have been
talking about it on WMW for a while, which puzzles me.)

Ad Links looks like an option to generate a related page of
ads not too dissimilar to Google's page of 'More Sponsored
Links'

Anyway, to summarise! AdSense Ad links - good idea or bad idea
or too new to tell?

Steve

PS Is this the right place to talk about AdSense ?

They were launched a few days ago so some people on WMW have now got channel data to see how they are performing. I added them to a site but messed up my channels (reused a deactivated one that was still listed on another site) so will have to wait a few more days to see how they perform.

Each site is different so you may as well give it a go. You can have up to 3 standard adsense and 1 ad link units on one page.

Personnally I quite like the simplicity of the layout for adding to a navigation list, its just a pity you can't control the landing page design - the user clicks on a subject on the adlink and then gets taken to a page of up to 10 adverts that looks a little like standard google search results.

Someone elsewhere reckons they're getting lots of clicks but no conversion once they get to the page of ads - mostly they reckon cos it looks like a page of ads.
