Getting Listed on Froogle and Google News

I just found some of my pages have been listed on Froogle, how do you get listed on Froogle and is it worth it?

Also I see some of my competitors have their news listed on Google News, how do you get your site listed on Google News.

You can recommend a news source here. My experience is that it took a LONG time for the site to be reviewed, and then it was rejected (because I don't think it had been looked at properly), then eventually listed. The process took a couple of months. It's a little like making an ODP submission
