experienceadvertising is infamous around these parts
  Re: Quality backlinks..

Why look for relavant backlinks? Are you looking for traffic directly from the links or a boost in your rankings? Why not post some comments on blogs related to your site....

More linkbuilding techniques: (some actually help in SEO)

Directory Submissions - targeted links at high PR directories
Blog and Forum participation - to high PR and frequently crawled sites
Social Bookmarking
Press Releases
Classified Ads
Article Marketing - submit to high PR directories, could also serve as link baits
Link Exchange - with relevant and authority sites
Link Baits - for organic linking
Etc. etc.

Building a bunch of backlinks to your site takes time and effort

I would suggests

Directory submissions. Do it manually and only submit to a few directories. The two you must include are DMOZ [you may have to wait a year for this link] and Yahoo[ i suggest the free submission]

Social bookmarking sites. But some of them have no follow tags. I suggest digg, del.icio.us and niche @ Qassia

niche @ Qassia only allows people to sign on via referals which is why i have given you this link. It's a social bookmarking site/ article directory

Article marketing Again, I don';t recommend mass submissions. Just hand submit some of your articles to a few. Again I suggest the niche qassia site, ezinearticles.com and goarticles

Last and this is something you are already doing, forum participation. Just find a few forums, no more than 5 and comment on them evryday [useful comments] and add your website link to your signature

I hope this helps

  Re: Quality backlinks..

In my experience... there are a lot of SEO myths, get links from anywhere! as crazy as it sounds, and build huge sites pointing to your sites with your main keyword and 1000's of long tail keywords as anchor text... worried about content and duplicate content (another myth)... scrape content from other sites and use it on your "huge sites" wait 3 month and you will see the results ... add some directory submissions, articles and Press releases to make it look a little bit natural... I love it!

James - I don't agree that 'scrapping other sites' is the way to go.

Hi,

yeah you are right that is too gray hat some would say but I'm not taking about your main site I'm talking about this huge sites pointing to your site...if you dont agree that all that Mumbo Jumbo about duplicate content is right send an article to 100 directories you will get at least 40 of them indexing your same article with no problem, that so basic, but if you do the same on your main site you will be in problems, the idea is build and build and dont worry about "what if" ... simple dont use adult, gambling, make money, links and you are going to be cool...

Anyaway as I said before there are a lot of myths about SEO, I have done amazing things, but I never would damage my main site or client's sites... got it? I build 1000's of sites around The MAIN SITE and anytime, I can choose where to point my links...

Just to add, I gauge the quality of a backlink if it:

1. draws targeted traffic that makes conversions
2. helps in SEO

These for me are two important factors
