Do people actually buy ebooks?
Clickbank scheme seems easy enough and good commisions (around 50%). But lots of info available on most topics for free on the net so skepitical that ebooks/info products actually sell!
Anybody had any success?![]()

Thanks Jonsp, just as I suspected.
I'm new to the forum and affiliate marketing. Sorry to sound like a ****head but what's a datafeed?hmy
A datafeed is a list of all the products Clickbank sell there's about 10,000 - it's updated every day at 6am, early afternoon our time. You can download it here
http://www.clickbank.com/feeds/marke...eed_v1.xml.zip
Unzip that and you'll get an XML file. One approach I've used in the past with success is to bid on every url in the feed. You'll appreciate I can't tell you exactly how to do it in a forum post but if you figure it out you will make money. Be careful with Adwords tho - they seem to take a dim view of this sort of thing. If you start getting warnings then stop - I had this running for nearly a year made some nice (and very easy) money but then got a "final warning" from google so stopped it. Maybe not the best strategy if you're new to the game.
The downside to promoting individual products is bid prices are driven up by all the Americans that read "How to get rich with Clickbank" ebooks ClickBank can seem like a very easy way to make money so it attracts a lot of idiots who very quickly lose their shirt. The conversion is low and refund rate can be high - some of the products are plain useless so the guy understandably wants his money back. Unless you can find a product that is half decent and get very cheap traffic - ie 1000s of keywords - it'll be uphill and into the wind.
On the upside there's no restrictions on direct to merchant so you don't need a web site, payment is weekly and rock solid and if you make it work you can use your new found PPC skills on other programmes with a longer shelf life. Keep away from make money, forex and gambling advice at first as competition is fierce in these niches - pick something outside the mainstream until you know what you're doing.
As with anything else if you do try it set yourself a strict budget and if you can't make it work within the budget move on. Don't throw good money after bad
Cheers,
Jon
