    Hi,

Firstly I would like to congratulate Matthew Wood and the rest of the regulars for this excellent forum!

The reason for my post is to introduce netklix.com (if you haven't already heard of us) and to gain some feedback.

    http://www.netklix.com

netklix.com has been tracking private revenue share partnerships since 1999 and launched an affiliate marketing solution publicly last year.

netklix.com is a little different to the other networks in that we do not charge advertisers(merchants) a percentage override, we charge a fixed fee.

Our reasons for doing this are:

    1) To track a sale of £1 involves the same amount of work as a sale of £20.
    2) The saving that Advertisers make can then be passed on to Affiliates in the form of higher commissions. Good news for you guys!
    3) With private revenue share the amounts are usually higher and with a percentage fee it is more cost-effective for the advertiser to then bring it in-house. Private deals are at present the main part of our business and the fixed fees work really well.

I would appreciate it if affiliates could give us a try and any feedback is appreciated.

On another note I would like to confirm that we do not support spy-ware, contrary to another post on here. One of our advertisers DatingDirect.com uses the netklix platform to track click throughs via advertising placed with Gator, When U and Exact.

I personally do not agree with this form of advertising and unfortuately DatingDirect.com is targetted by this form of advertising from mainly American competitors trying to steal members from the UK's largest dating service. Unfortunately DatingDirect.com either fights back or allows this to happen.

So check us out and give me your feedback!

    http://www.netklix.com

    Thanks in advance,

    Andrew.

    Andrew,

    thanks for the lowdown

    1 question if I may?

Is Netklix funded/owned or in any shape or form related to DatingDirect apart from a client/supplier relationship ?

I always "assumed" it was a sideline business by Darren Richards and his team ...

    Hi Shak,

Netklix Limited is a totally separate company. The common link is that both myself and Darren are the shareholders of netklix and datingdirect.com. They operate as separate entities and any contracts with between the two companies are on an arms length basis.

Hope that clears the situation up.

    Thanks,

    Andrew.

My experience of netclix is not good, I'm afriad.

My three main issues are (bearing in mind this was last year, so may not reflect the situation now):

    a) there is no basic text link for an affiliate to use

    b) tracking failed to work (promoting datingdirect.com)

    c) I had no response to my request for support on the two matters above

All in all, I was pretty disappointed, and very much doubt I'll be touching your network again.
    Cheers, Darren

    Hi Darren,

Thanks for the feedback and sorry to hear your experience was not good.

    a) there is no basic text link for an affiliate to use

We addressed that problem at the beginning of the year when we introduced basic HTML links. We previously only operated JavaScript links.

    b) tracking failed to work (promoting datingdirect.com)

Our reporting is not real time and you can only see up to midnight of the previous day. DatingDirect.com is integrated in a way that does not involve cookies and lead and sale data is sent through to us in a batch. This is due to the fact that every profile on DD is manually reviewed by a member of staff. The affiliate lead £2.50 is only credited for an approved profile. This also means that affiliates will still receive 60% sales commission for any members paying by cheque/postal order. It also allows DD to pay top performing affiliates for repeat sales for the lifetime of the membership.

    c) I had no response to my request for support on the two matters above.

Apologies for this, we do reply to every email received. Our customer services team can be contacted on

    help@netklix.com

Quote: "All in all, I was pretty disappointed, and very much doubt I'll be touching your network again."

Hopefully my answers have clarified your experience, and hope you will give us another go.

    Thanks,

    Andrew.

Where can I see a list of all your merchants without first having to sign up as an affiliate?

    Thanks,

    Hi Kieron,

We do not have the list publicly available. We do have a list of featured advertisers available on the homepage.

    Cheers,

    Andrew.

That seems a bit odd. There could be a beauty of a program in there that I can really work well with and generate thousands of sales. Problem is, time is money and I really haven't got the time to register just to see a list of merchants. Never mind, I'll just have to work with the other affiliate networks instead.

Do you get my point? I'm not trying to be funny but shouldn't you make it as easy as possible for affiliates to work with you?

It takes half an hour to find the merchant directory even when you have signed up !

Anyways I'm a member and have been having a gander this morning - just a couple of questions really, as your here.

How long is the cookie for all programs?

Is the 'Rpt.Sale' for the lifetime of the customer, and if so, can you lose that cmr if the cmr comes through another aff link?

    And

do I have to register every domain and subdomain of a website for them to register - or can i just apply for one link and put it on all my portals?

    Hi Barry,

It takes half an hour to find the merchant directory even when you have signed up !

We have already identified this as a problem. The reason for this is that as a User you can have access to many accounts. In turn each account can be both Advertiser and Publisher. In fact all of our Advertisers automatically have a Publisher account as they are paid £2 for every new Publisher(Affiliate) they recruit.

Anyways I'm a member and have been having a gander this morning - just a couple of questions really, as your here.

How long is the cookie for all programs?

The cookie time can be set by the Advertiser. We recommend to them no less than 30 days.

Is the 'Rpt.Sale' for the lifetime of the customer, and if so, can you lose that cmr if the cmr comes through another aff link?

We credit the repeat sale to the first affiliate link.

do I have to register every domain and subdomain of a website for them to register - or can i just apply for one link and put it on all my portals?

You have to supply every additional site address.

One more thing I would like to add. Advertisers pay in advance for the service which ensures all amounts are received by Affiliates. Every lead/sale is automatically approved and it is up to the Advertiser to charge-back any invalid transaction. This ensures you are not waiting around for your earnings, which I think is the case with some other networks.

    Thanks,

    Andrew.

Would it not be easier just to post a list here of what programs you have available so this way everyone can easily take a look now without having to mess about?!

    Just one more question

Is the customer account 'marked' as an affiliates in the merchants database for the lifetime feature, or does the 'cookie' have to stay in place for this feature to be activated?

As this feature sounds good - a lifetime commission from a customer is always a plus and would definetely make me relook at your network and spend the morning placing all subdomains and domains in my account.

    Hi Barry,

Unless the advertiser(merchant) has integrated our tracking fields into their systems, the repeat sale will rely on the cookie.

At present the only public advertiser that has a cookie free implementation is DatingDirect.com and they offer 50% on intial and repeat sales. Other Advertisers do offer repeat sales but this is reliant on the cookie being preserved.

    Thanks,

    Andrew.

    Andrew,

Well we've signed up and are giving you a try - if everything proceeds smoothly and payments go well we'll increase the number merchants we work with.

However have one question - the merchant we have signed up with is providing sales on a daily basis but I would like to know what your policy is in respect of how regularly merchants are required to confirm sales - we have sales over last 3 weeks but no confirmations yet, so can you confirm what you require of your merchants and if there is a specfic time period after which all sales are automatically confirmed.

I would hate to think we have a situation where merchants can go for literally months without confirming sales as has happened on other networks.

    Thanks.
