    Dear Affiliates,

We are pleased to announce we are increasing commission on all our Clash prize draw campaigns as of October 1st, giving you the opportunity to earn up to £1.25 per prize draw entry. We now have over 20 prize draws live and with plans to launch 3 more a week and with an average conversion rate of 40%, earning commission with Clash couldn't be more attractive.

An entry simply consists of name, email, postal address, telephone, date of birth and gender so the more unique email addresses you refer to us the more you can earn.

We want to motivate you to work with us and therefore we have put together the following monthly retrospective incentive scheme.

    1-500 = £1 per entry
    501- 1000 = £1.05 per entry
    1001-5000 = £1.10 per entry
    5001-10,000 = £1.15 per entry
    10,001-20,000 = £1.20 per entry
    20,001 plus = £1.25 per entry

Please note that all entries must be unique and therefore commission per entry will be paid when you refer a valid email address not previously referred to Clash Media.

Please make sure you keep up to date with our selection of our prize draws and make sure you are promoting the best ones to suit your audience. We are happy to put together bespoke competitions to suit your audiences so if you have an idea for a prize which you think will appeal to your audience then please let us know and we will provide you with all the creative you need.

Please do let us know if you have any questions

Can you confirm if this is a change. As I understood it, if I sent a user to 2 prize draws and they entered their details for both and then waded through 75,000 pages of co-regs then they qualify as two leads?

Under this change, that would now only be 1 lead?

    Thanks

    Hi Jason

Just to confirm my post, as of October 1st we will only be paying for unique email addresses therefore that is correct if you send a person with the same email address to more than one prize draw that will only qualify as one transaction.

Our affiliates our paid on the first page of registration whether or not a user goes through to interact with any of the further pages.

Please let me know if you need anymore info

    All the best

That's not good news at all, yet it's posted as if this is an improvement, what's the point in promoting any new competitions if you are not getting paid for it, only a mug would do that, so why add 3 new ones a week. I be taking them all down on the 1st and I might, just might leave 1 on.

What I don't like about this type of program is we all know you make a profit on the person that signs up and you go on to make more money as they keep taking part in more of these competitions, refreshing your data base and ensuring they get even more emails about offers, probably get phone calls (as why else ask for the phone number), so why no play fair and offer money when they take part in more competitions, even at a reduced rate.

    Hi Clarke

Thank you for your post and your feedback

I understand your concerns but I am sure you are aware that this is how the majority of other prize draw sites work whereby they will only pay affiliates if a new user is referred which is identified via an email address. In fact I think that Clash is probably the only company of its type which has been paying affiliates for multiple referrals of the same email address.

As I hope you know we at Clash value our affiliates and will take on board any feedback you have on our campaigns but based on the higher CPA we are going to be paying I really don't see this change as a negative thing and also do believe we are offering one of the best affiliate programs of its sort in the market place at the moment.

Please see how it goes in October and of course come back to us with feedback if we do see it having a negative impact and we will review things.

    All the best

Sorry Di, but I'm with Clarke on this and whilst yes the CPA is an increase this is now just a bog standard uninteresting Win4Now/MyOffers/Vouch4Me type offer where once I've sent the user there's really no point me sending them back for future draws.

I can see what you're doing but it's not an improvement from an affiliate perspective as it reduces earnings - and when that happens it means less promotion too.

yup have to agree .. not on..

if it's a one time deal where the user is accepted or rejected then fine but where the user is allowed to sign up to a competition then follow a revenue path that earns money regardless then nope,

I know the payment has been enhanced but ultimately the EPC will dive and clash as a result of new users only are getting free traffic and revenue path actions each time an existing user enters a competition

    HI

Yeah i have to agree with this as well.

I would be concerned about sending traffic to the competitions now as you would also be worried that they might already be in base from another affiliate and you would as said above be sending free traffic on the first visit and any future competitons.

I think this is a backward move for Clash and is only making them the same as Win4Now/MyOffers/Vouch4Me not anything different to encourage affiliates to promote campaigns.

Agree a dissapointing change for us too, infact we dropped exposure by a huge margin for these draws as we were not particuarly happy with how the data was being used and sold.

You can either sell yourselves out or keep the data and monetise it better inhouse - Importantly you have no control whatsoever over who the data is sold too! and when its a competing website its a tad annoying!

The value for us going forward wth Clash will be external unique campaigns that they can get onboard.

    Hi Guys

Thank you for your postings and I take all your points on board. Lets see how October goes in terms of your earnings per click. We will then review the commission changes to ensure you are happy with working on our campaigns as that is our number one priority.

    All the best

    Hi,

I run other competition sites and they do not work like that.

And they even use Clash co-regs.

I may pull the plug on the campaigns if this is the case.

    Regards.

    Hi Matt

    Thanks for your post

Please see how October goes and then if you find that the campaigns are not working for you we can discuss. As mentioned previously based on the data we have been sent to date the number of duplicate records are minimal from the majority of our affiliates however multiple from a few of which we can not continue to accept.

Please give me a call if you want to discuss as you know we value your feedback and want to keep you happy

    Hi,

No sorry on the last day of september we will most likely be pulling all the campaigns of the site.

I think that its unfair as we would only be getting paid commission for just one of the sites but say a user then goes through to another one of your sites and does the co-regs then your earning even more money and we get nothing.

    Warm Regards.
