I have to say the affiliate future site has to be the most unfriendly and diffucult affiliate network ive ever come accross.. and I thought CJ was bad.

OK, how do you make a simple html link... none of this b******t script rubbish, I just want a 'html text link' that works.

I did what I thought was just that but it didnt register any click throughs. It really is pants that ive got to waste so much of my time to get this to work.

When you get to the add code section go down to the bottom where it says

Alternatively, you can use the HREF below, change the url= parameter to link to another page
    on the merchant's site.

and use the text in that box.

We havn't had too much in the way of negative feedback in this area, however we are always happy to assist with any queries.

When you sign up to a program, if you scroll down the page you'll see some alternative code from the script - this includes an <A HREF="..."> statement which you can use in your HTML. This URL is also included in the email confirmation you receive when joining a program.

Note that during busy periods your click thru's may not register immediately, as we use the Microsoft Message Queue system in our back end. Also note that you can only register one click thru per session from a given computer.

The idea of the script is to provide an incredibly simple way for newcomers to affiliate programmes to use our network, however we do provide the direct links for affiliates like yourself as you require the extra flexibility.

If it still doesn't work - drop us an email at support@affiliatefuture.co.uk with examples of how to replicate the problem and we'll get onto it straight away! It does normally work first time I promise!!

    Thanks

ok , thats what I did before and I left the link up for 2 days.. in which time I know I clicked on it quite a few times, and whom ever else saw it.. yet nothing showed up in the reports...

If you guys say that works then Ill try it again.

Is the click UV or any click ?

I clicked on my advanced mp3 link 6x and it only increased by 1... 6 hours have past since I clicked.

I have to say Affiliate Future set-up is hard to follow.. I had to write to support and ask how I could have a banner and a text link running at the same time. They explained but I am not the type of person you need to explain what should be basic things to... still was interesting to note in the reply they did say it was going to be looked in to in future.

I have to say DGM is by far the easiest to use, then TD then CJ (TD and CJ are a close second to each other).

At the end of the day it should be pretty simple to get text links and banner links, shouldn't it.. All the bells and whistles are nice but for me that just add delays.. Don’t get me wrong I do love some of the extra features of CJ but my money is on DGM being the most user friendly.

Thanks for the feedback - we'll get on with clarifying the process on the site. Any further suggestions are most welcome.

Regards the clicks not registering, we stop you being able to keep clicking on the same link from the same computer to stop fraudsters, so this sounds like it is working correctly now.

And finally, the js banners are preferred by some of our more 'novice' affiliates - believe it or not some of them don't know how to set up hyperlinks and just pasting in some code does make it easier for them. I agree though - I wouldn't use the JS links my self, but each to there own I guess!!
