Some really useful info in there. Thanks for making it available![]()
The Merchant Performance Report exists to give you a little bit more of the picture on how a Merchant performs for Affiliates in general with Paid On Results.
Login to your account and go to Merchant Performance to view it now.
We do have to stress this is a very general picture and doesn’t give you the full story, for example if a Merchant is running a free promotion and giving Affiliates commission for this, it will pull down the average commission and basket size for that Merchants other products that they have sold, this is unavoidable and is the reason why you should always find out for yourself how a Merchant works for you. The information only covers sales made via Paid On Results affiliates only, merchants own sales and that of other networks are not counted in any stats provided.
The report is fully customisable to suit the way you wish to view the data.
I would like to say this is just the first step in many to opening up more information for affiliates to view with regards to Merchants performance and we hope in time to add many more reports.
What the different parts of the report mean:
Average Commission & My Average Commission: This is the average commission of sales made with a Merchant, you can compare your own average commission with that of the average of all Affiliates, if yours is lower you should look at what products or offers you push and maybe think about pushing others. Keep in mind that if you have 2,000 people take up a free offer that pays you 50p you are probably earning more than the Affiliate who promotes a few expensive items and only sells a few of these so if your money is good keep doing what your doing.
Average Basket Size & My Average Basket Size: This is the Merchant’s average baskets of all Affiliate sales via Paid On Results only. Merchants own sales that are not from an Affiliates on Paid On Results don’t count towards average basket size and in many cases these can be higher and so some merchants might quote an average basket higher on information pages as they take all sales into account.
Reversal Rate & My Reversal Rate: This is the Merchants reversal rate on the network; the percentage is worked out as to how many valid sales they have versus how many void sales. Any sales that involve Affiliate Fraud are not taken into account.
Customer Base & My Customer Base: This is the percentage of the total sales that are customer based and had no cookie attached to them. Because Paid On Results is the only network to offer customer base, this in effect means that if you promote the Merchants via Paid On Results you should in theory earn a percentage more additional sales that you otherwise would not have got.
Average Click to Sale: On average over all sales this is the amount of time expected from when a user clicks on your link until they make a sale. Keep in mind that some people will click and buy an item very quickly where as others will need time to think about or research their purchase before they buy.
Sales in XX Hour(s): This is the percentage of sales that happen inside a set period of time. The figures in black are the total amount of sales that happen inside a period of time as it goes up and the figures in navy blue are the percentage that happened during that time frame only. For example sales in 6 hours, the navy blue figure represents the sales that happened after 1 hour from a customer visit up to 6 hours before they made a purchase.

Yeah great stuff
Particularly useful to be able to see your stats against the agregate for that merchant. Also the cookie related stuff is interesting.
Would like to see EPC in there too though![]()
I know EPC is coming as parts of it have been worked on, just a matter of time for that one. As with everything we do when it's complete it should be the new standard in what people expect from it (setting myself up with that statement LOL).
These stats are absolutely incredible. Thanks a lot. Paid on Results goes from strength to strength.
EPC would be fantastic.

Nice stats! I love a good stats stare.
I have no idea what this means though (and I've stared at it and re-read it several times):

Perhaps a worked example explaining what is going on and why it is useful would show me the light?

Lets take an example - lets say a merchant has made 100 sales, 60 of those sales were made in less than 1 hour (from the time the visitor clicked to when they purchased), another 10 sales happened within 6 hours and finally 30 sales happened within 24 hours. With this our stats will show the following, my comments are within in italic
Sales in 1 Hour(s): 60% 60 sales made out of 100 in the first hour
Sales in 6 Hour(s): 70% (10%) by 6 hours 70 sales have been made in total but between 1 hour and 6 hours 10 sales where made
Sales in 24 Hour(s): 100% (30%) by the time 24 hours comes all sales have been placed, but between 6 hours and 24 hours 30 sales are placed
So the % in the brakets is the increase over the last value. Hope that helps![]()
