Hi, just to let you know HQhair.com now have a data feed available for all approved Affiliates. To collect this, simply log in to Affiliate area and visit the feed section.

Now that we have the feed in place we can work on content units and will let you know when these are complete.

Note about this feed: By default when you download a feed from us we exclude any duplications of products, however, in this feed there are products which are technically duplications (same name, go to same URL) but they are a different colour, style or even volume (250ml bottle or a 500ml bottle). However as always with Paid On Results you get a choice if you want the duplications left in, if you do then simply add the following to the end of the URL you use to download the CSV or XML file. Maybe try downloading both versions once to see what on works best for you.

What's the chances of getting an updated product feed as it was last updated 27/12/2005 20:08 !!! and most of the stuff I promote the links don't work and specific christmas gifts are on my home page !

I understand they been working on a new version of the product feed, I will ask Carol the account manager for this program to see what stage they are at with this.

Hi Simon, we heard from HQ Hair end of last week that they have hired a new development company to program what is needed for them to create regular feeds for us and that the job is a priority. As soon as it is complete we will import the feed straight away and let you know.

I pleased to announce we now the latest HQ Hair feed, it has been imported and is ready to download. We now receive the latest feed from HQ Hair every 24 hours, so the feed you download will be the current. Any problems please get in touch.

I've been trialing HQHair with Affilistore and have come across 2 issues;

Firstly, when I downloaded the feed, I used the wrong account details so any traffic I have sent over the past 24hrs hasn't been recorded I suspect. The hardcoded links contained one of my account/affiliate numbers but under this account I am not a member of HQHair Not a good start for me The links worked fine, no error message or "This program affiliation doesn't exist" type of warning, so I guess I just have to put this down to a lesson learned

Secondly, some of the links in the feed take me to different products which is a bit confusing and will put some people off buying;

When you click on the BUY NOW button it takes you to;
GHD IV Styler

Not sure if this is the only error or if there are others. Any chance this could be looked at?

When you first click Download in the View Feeds section of the Affiliate Control Panel in the options box you can select which Affiliate Account to use if you have more than one. However, what I will do is query our logs to find if any sales did come though and credit them to your account.

You have good timing actually, up to recently the HQ Hair feed we were given was complied by a third party company for HQ Hair, but now we have access to the feed generated by HQ Hair. As a result we have received a improved feed from them and receive daily updates of the feed. We have just loaded the new feed into the system, a little later than planned as we had to do a few changes to the setup of the feed our end as there was some formating changes. The product you are referring to above is no longer for sale and isn't in the new feed, this was why I guess HQ Hair redirect it to a product they do sell. Before you download the feed again please give it about an hour from this post as its just finishing crunching the images. If you have problems with this new feed let me know.

Thanks for the explanation. I have since downloaded the updated datafeed but have a couple of questions. The data contained in the feed has changed substantially, particularly around the BRANDS.

The new feed contains 0 products for Agent Provocateur, however pop along to HQHair and you will see they do have plenty available;
Agent Provocateur : HQhair.com Hair & Skin Care Products : Agent Provocateur
This also goes for Roberto Cavalli, Joey New York and a load of other brands.

Any reason for this as it means changing categories/brands on almost a daily basis as and when I grab an updated feed
