    Commission Increase

You were previously earning £0.50 per male lead and £1.00 per female lead. Under the new commission structure you will earn:

Amount of Sales: 1-3 Male Lead: £0.75 Female Lead: £1.30 Commission per Sale: £3.50
Amount of Sales: 4-6 Male Lead: £0.90 Female Lead: £1.50 Commission per Sale: £4.00
Amount of Sales: 7+ Male Lead: £1.00 Female Lead: £1.70 Commission per Sale: £5.99

365 day cookie remains the same.

Remember at Paid On Results we offer the “Network Cookie” for this merchant, so you should join the other 2 programs to benefit from this additional tracking that is exclusive for these programs at Paid On Results.

If only it worked...and we got a satisfactory answer when we asked the people at Easy Date when we asked what was happening. I am wondering why having made ten sales in December we are still on the lowest commission band. I asked Dinorah a week ago who told me she thought the scheme wasn't working and when I checked on Friday she told me she was still waiting for a response from Paid on Results.

Incidentally, even so, I don't think anyone will make any more money from this - rather the reverse...because instead of getting 40% of sales revenue, you now get a fixed amount, which is less than 40% of the average sale value!

Hi Fiona, got your support request at 8:55am this morning. Looking in to it just now. We have had an issue with a few people on private deals not moving up the new tiers correctly, thought we fixed them all but clearly not.

I wrote to you directly this morning after having already contact Dinorah 3 times. I'm still not clear about how the tiers are supposed to work (e.g. are they monthly time bands - and if so, from what start date in the month?)

Should we refer this sort of issue to you directly in future?

Yes, any issue should come via our support option in the Affiliate control area. As most times we can sort them same day without need to involve the Merchant as in this case they have no control over it.

We are constructing a reply to you to explain that it doesn’t look like an error based on what we got told to do with the tiers however we can easily clear that up start of the week when we get confirmation or not that all sales prior to the change on the 15th Dec should also count or not.

On a general note to Affiliates reading this: You should be thinking. If I have a problem on Paid On Results or with a Merchant on Paid On Results then I should contact Paid On Results first or as well as the Merchant at the same time if you really want. However most people know we can deal with stuff quickly (unless it’s hard and involved extra programming work then it take longer of course). We might start collecting stats on support request, time to reply and so on, because I never see the posts in the forum where someone says they asked for support and it was sorted in 30 mins, or hey these guys reply at weekends and the middle of the night as we have done and keep doing. We are never going to be 100% perfect or give you the reply you want all the time but we do try and if we not for some reason replied quickly (give it at least 24 hours), then write again we might have missed it or are working on it and where just waiting until it was complete before writing back.

If valid sales for the whole of December count, that would put us on a different tier

If they are only counting half of December, that is not the case as we started removing our links in any case.

However, we now should be on the next tier for January...we've made more than 3 sales with Date the UK this month. Now, I note we are getting the correct amount for sales (assuming you are working on a calendar monthly basis) but not for leads.

Going forward, it is not at all clear to me how this tiered scheme is supposed to work. Are you talking about calendar months which are then applied to the next month? or is it that once you hit 4 sales, from then on, the higher payments apply for the rest of the month and so on, or is (as dinorah seemed to think) an ongoing scheme where once you have hit 4 sales, you stay on a higher level till you hit the next tier etc....If Easydate are only going to count half of December then they should have made that ABSOLUTELY clear in their original mail to all of us which is ambiguous and misleading. It just seems like a cheap way of paying affiliates less.

And, the reason I asked Dinorah directly was that she lobbied me before Christmas to ask me what I thought...so I assumed she was in control of the scheme. In future I will come directly through the support centre, thank you for your swift response here Clarke and am looking forward to a better explanation of how the scheme is supposed to work through the support centre.

    Fiona,

Given that, as I understand it, you were 1/2 of the duo behind the sale of DTUK to its new owners it is now interesting to see you squibbling with them over tweaks to the commission structures... I would have thought you'd be settled on a nice beach somewhere, sipping on a Pina Colada, rather than worrying about your commission on 10 December sales!

I will comment when I have got all the facts, not sure why you want to do this in public. If it's a mistake it will be fixed, if it's not fine but I am sure we to make it all more clear. Dinorah is interested in pushing the program forward, they have a 365 day cookie now, that was never in place before so I am sure it's not about paying Affiliates less as to be honest even the money per lead has went up on all sites and that's where the majority of people make money from the program.

Anyway as I said, I will find out the facts, and sort or make clear as and when I know them but Saturday and Sunday not going to be days when I can find these things out.

and done the beach...now back to work. I'm quibbling partly because I do know how it should work from a merchants point of view - and that is not ignoring your affiliates!

Clarke, I am only reiterating things I asked Dinorah at the start of the week when she got back from holiday - I asked her to let me know by Friday (e.g. 5 working days), which I thought was fair, but got no feedback from her at all other than 'she hadn't got any feedback from paidonresults'...and even that, only when I asked her directly again what was happening. If she is interested in pushing the programme forward, not bothering to respond is hardly a way to demonstrate it! I'm not prepared to waste my time chasing her for answers, there are plenty of other problems with the sites as they stand which I have not made public but which are having a serious impact on revenue regardless of 365 day cookies. The only issues I have raised here are ones which SHOULD be within her control to respond to quickly.

And, I am slightly bemused that neither Easy Date nor Paid on Results seems to know what the terms of the scheme that was introduced by Easy Date a month ago are.

What I think is the terms and what your saying are not the same things, so instead of saying no your wrong, I like to think, ok maybe it’s not as clear as it could be or maybe we didn’t understand what the deal was or maybe we where not told the deal correctly or maybe we where and it is correct.

I am not the Account Manager on the program, after you left I handed it over as it’s not my role in the company to deal with the day to day happening of the Merchants, mine if to make sure the Affiliates are looked after and your one of them now ;-). So the plan is on Monday I speak with the Account Manager and Dinorah and everything will be sorted from that point.

It’s not the end of the world, if it’s wrong it can be fixed.
