Yeah I banned you; I was like that's it Elaine has to go LOL
Afraid you got your password wrong (a few times), so you’re blocked for about 1 hour (as it currently stands) we have been upgrading our security and that's just 1 of the few extra things we put in place (couple more to come). However to be honest if you tried it an hour ago it should have unblocked by now, so not sure why that’s hasn’t but I will log it with technical and get it unblocked if still the case.
Anyway my understanding is that we are adding an “unblock me” email to the username and password security check, basically if you get it wrong a few times, you will in future get blocked from the site and an email with come whizzing over with a link letting you know you where blocked and you can click the link to try again a few more times, instead of waiting 1 hour.
Why we doing this? Well simple, our logs are showing people from Eastern Europe and the Far East using lists of names and in one case what looked like they started using the dictionary to try and access peoples accounts, but funally enough only people active with PPC adverts. Any how as a number of Affiliates use family names, pets or single words without any number front, middle or back in these words they are leaving themselves wide open to having there account accessed, it's been reported that another Network has had the same type of thing happen to them and I can only guess they trying it on others and either not been successful yet or no one as yet has noticed.
In short, if your going to have a password, at least stick a number in it at bare minimum and ideally if you can use a random letters and numbers then all the better.
