  La Senza errors

Hi all , just wondered if anyone else is getting this message when clicking through to the La Senza site:

#########

SELECT image, productID FROM style WHERE enabled=1 AND brandstyleID='6511' AND System=998
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e14'

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Invalid column name 'System'.

/level3.asp, line 28

##########

Obviously the brandstyleid changes depending on what item you click on but it's happening on 2 of my sites, just noticed it after i downloaded a new datafeed and i thought at first it must have been the new feed but i checked against another site i havent updated for a while and it happens on there too.

  Re: La Senza errors

Could you email us a sample of links which do not work for you? La Senza updated there site on Friday which meant a new site structure, a new feed was supplied on Friday and imported by us. I have tried a number of links from the current feed and they worked, so whatever the problem is, it is not effecting the whole feed and may be related to just some products.

  Re: La Senza errors

Hi Graeme, just sent you an email through your email link on here, hope thats ok.

I think the new site structure is the key, what happened here is i imported the new feed and then noticed that a lot of my pages had missing thumbnail images so went back to the old feed. Then when i started clicking through the site (as i was about to start a new ppc campaign) i started getting these errors. I never checked again with the new feed and of course when i checked on another site that hadnt been updated the same errors occur.

I think this might mean then that anyone who has'nt updated their feed since Friday may be experiencing the same issues?

Regards

Graahm

If you can download the feed again from us for La Senza you should find the problem with the product images fixed (this only effected newly added products and only since the new site went live on Friday as the Image URL we download the images from had changed).

  Re: La Senza errors

Thanks very much Graeme, the images are now all working but havin just loaded up the new file again i think La Senza need to look again at their product categorisation.

First thing i have noticed , checking through my site menu (which is created of course from the datafeed 'Category' field) is that under the category 'Bikinis' there are just 2 items displayed, yet under 'Bright & Bold' theres 36 bikinis !

This of course isnt a problem if i rely on PPC as i can direct visitors searching for Bikinis straight to Bright & Bold but , and i'm no expert in buying bikini's but a visitor from the organic search results, loking for a bikini would find just 2 items and possibly click off the site.

I agree , the Bikinis in Bright & Bold are indeed very Bright & Bold but as a categorisation for them i think they would be better under what they are 'Bikinis' with possibly a sub category field adding, of course i'm not trying to teach LA Senza to suck eggs, just my opinion.

For now i have manually changed the 'Bright & Bold' entries to 'Bikinis' in the CSV file and the menu now (for me) works much better.

Graham
