Anyone having issues with running adult dating campaigns on AdWords? Specifically I am getting a lot of keywords that are not displaying due to "An Adult classification is preventing your ad from showing." I have sought advice from Google but they do not seem to fully understand the question. An example;

  • keyword "adult dating" is fine and triggers my ad
  • Keyword "adult dating in london" is not displayed due to "adult classification" which means the keyword is not sufficiently adult to display against adult ads and adult themed landing page.


So how can the first example be adult but the second one not?

The advice from Google was to make the query more adult-related by including phrases such as xxx. But clearly there is virtually no traffic for a keyword like "xxx dating london"

Is this all just arbitrary or is there some way of getting keywords reclassified?
