I suspect anyone using Adwords has encountered the new interface in recent weeks, what do you think of it?

My initial reaction was "wow it looks swish" but it uses up quite a lot of system resources so my somewhat elderly laptop is having issues with it.

Also, I found performing simple actions such as updating bids over an adgroup or all adgroups in a campaign nigh on impossible.

That said, I am sure once I get used to it I will come to appreciate it. Similarly when I upgrade my computer in the next few weeks I'm sure it will improve for me! I particularly liked neat little features like CTR trending.

It's dramatically different from the previous version of the interface for sure.

It is supposed to streamline things and make it easier to whizz around. However, it's hard to get ones head around, as Kirsty says.

No doubt we'll all get use to it in due course.

In my opinion, it's horrible, slow and not very user friendly

My lap-top is brand new (well almost) and is quick but still take ages to do anything in the new interface

turning off the graphs speeds it up for me, but it keeps going too wide for my laptop screen, forcing me to scroll horizontally

    Absolutely brilliant.

I imagine it's pretty crap if you're only running small campaigns, but it makes managing big campaigns a whole lot easier.

The new search query tool is a really handy feature, and makes adding negatives much less arduous.

Having graphs showing trended data is also invaluable, and done in a much better way than Yahoo has ever done.

There are a few things missing, such as a search box, which the old interface had (there may be one but I can't find it). Also, it won't load on my iPhone.

    I'd give it a good 8/10.

Very slow on my fast PC but it also tells me that I'm using IE6 when I am in fact using IE8.

That could be the reason why I have to keep waiting for up to a minute while it refreshes/loads up continually.

So far it's unworkable for me.

I wouldn’t say its fantastic. The amount of money Google would make off adwords doesn’t reflect the interface. That’s said, I believe the new interface is miles ahead of the old in many ways.

I would have to agree with Tom.

We run 40 different sites with about 30 campaigns in each and it is a lot better for us. Updating Ad Group Daily Spend and Ad Schedueling can be done with the click of your mouse as opposed to the old style of going and updating each Ad Group seperately.

Still only getting used to the interface, anyone find any real gems to use that will save time or any really worthwhile new features.

    Cheers.

no doubt it is slow and require more resources but at the same time it contains more useful features.

Personally I love the new features, but do find the delays and sideways scrolling hugely frustrating. As is the notification about IE6 EVERY TIME I switch between accounts. Hopefully some of the wrinkles will be ironed out before it's compulsory to use. I find myself flipping between the two versions depending what I want to do.

Definitely great improvement for managing large campaigns. There are some problems in chrome, but i am sure Google will fix those issues.

    Overall:
    8/10

I hated it at first but I like the version as you get more information through less clicking. It is a time saver.

I generally like the interface, but as others have said, it is very slow. I'd imagine it's the amount of JavaScript it uses, so the bottleneck is your browser's JS engine as well as your CPU.

It should run faster in Google Chrome(hah!), and the soon to be released Firefox 3.5. Both are said to have lightening-fast JavaScript engines.
