Adwords allowing US clicks to UK only campaign

Bit of a strange one this, during a recent AdWords campaign I noticed a couple of clicks came from the USA. As the campaign should be specifically aimed at the UK only this was a surprise, both of these clickthroughs resulted in immediate bounce and I was charged for clicks that shouldn't have been allowed.

Anybody else had any experience of this?

whilst you selected UK targeting, if someone searched on google.co.uk they'll see UK targeted ads even though they aren't in the UK

thats google Japan, with search query of flight ticket, yet I can see it from the UK because I selected google.jp to search on

Seems a strange state of affairs since Google would easily be able to restrict traffic using IP geolocation. I had already considered the possibility of somebody doing what you had suggested but thought Google would at least be able to filter the traffic based on the location!
