I've just posted this comment in response to a network thread but feel that it is worth highlighting across the board with regards to brand bidding, trademarked terms, miss-spells etc:

I recently put an adwords campaign over to a third party to manage; out of curiosity and maybe I could learn something. I was horrified at their initial suggestions :scared. They seemed to be completely unaware of brand bid issues and all things associated. Had I not been paying attention or was happy to let the 'experts' run my campaign I would have been brand bidding all over the place, and possibly suffered the consequences - frightening.

Whilst I'm sure this is not the always the case I would be amazed if no-one else has/had unknowingly been running campaigns that broke IAB guidelines and/or merchant's T&Cs.

If you've handed campaigns over to a third party it may be worth checking.

These adwords experts don't know everything you know...
