Read the following thread from a couple of weeks ago, I'll think you'll deduce that the word "quality score" is a very loose term & code for something else

Over the last few weeks there has been an update with Google Adwords which will affect affiliate websites, machine generated google adsense pages and those with only 1 or 2 pages.
The changes been made are to do with the relevance of your landing page. Basically to ensure that every visitor is clicking through to a relevant website with the keywords they use they are toughening up on teh three groups mentioned above.
They are doing this by sending accounts for review and/or increasing your minimum bid, sometimes double of what you were originally paying. This obviously then has a knock on effect to your adverts position.
So now you will have to be aware of three things when considering your adverts position:
1. Click through rate
2. Bid price
3. Landing page (the webpage you send them to)
If your landing page is not relevant to the keywords they searched or the wording in your ad and they click back to the original google search it will have an impact on your CTR as well as being Google Slapped with the possibility of having increased minimum price or your account going under review.
This affects affilates and smal websites the most because of the lack of relevancy if there is no keyword rich articles or links to higher ranking pages that are relevant.
Kind Regards
J
