Insurance Income Protection PPC pricing

Hi everyone,

I am a student trying to research some information for a company I am working for. It would be great if anyone could take a minute to answer this question?

Basically, I was wondering if anyone had any ball-park bid ranges for Insurance leads (life, home and income protection) and what affects these?

Any insight that you could share would be much appreciated.

depends what search engine your using?

google, yahoo, miva, msn?

go to adwords.google.com, click on keyword estimator, type in your keywords and maximum bid amount and google will tell you what they charge, it will also give you an estimated postion on that price. ie: home insurance - £8.02 - position 1-3.

do the same with searchmarketing.yahoo.com and msn, that will give you your prices.

as for how these prices come about, depends on how competitive the terms are, how many searches and ultimatley how much google can get away with charging you, there are other factors such as landing page relevance, ie: if the page the user lands on is relevevant this will reduce you cost per click and improve your postion on google.
