Adwords Fraud Email
Last week and over the weekend I have been getting a few emails that look like they come from Google Adwords saying my payment has been refused and I should login to update my details.
The URL is a .cn address but the Google login page looks perfect, so just a heads up to be careful out there.~ Rob

Yes received this too, easy to see how some people could be sucked in as it looks pretty convincing.

Re: Adwords Fraud Email
But then you'd hope that those using ppc would be fairly internet savy?!?!

Re: Adwords Fraud Email
This has come up several times recently, I get at least 5 of these every single day, and have done for months.
I just ignore anything supposedly from Google now, and just rely on my Adwords account, it's much easier.
They are easy to fall through as the wording is spot on, its just when you roll over the link it shows the fake domain.
One thing that worries me, is that out of 30 email addresses I have, I only get these emails on the 6 addresses that i`ve used for Adwords. How can anyone find out which addresses are linked to adwords accounts (without being inside Google)?

Re: Adwords Fraud Email
Received one from paypal today (which i've not used in years!) saying that someone has tried to access my account. It wanted to verify my login attempts so gave me two buttons to press, either "yes it was me", or "no it was not me"

Fair enough ppl fall for these kind of things, but geez, they could have put more effort into it

Re: Adwords Fraud Email
They are getting pretty good with these phishing emails and I can totally see how someone not paying attention could accidently fall for one. I saw the one you're refering to and it is well done.
