I have a couple of sites that get Great quality score for just about every keyword but with the minimum bid I'm on page 2,3,4 etc would it be better to raise the bids to say 10p or just leave as is at 2-3p?
    TIA

Raising the bids will push you up the results but be careful not to try and outbid everyone!

I reckon you should think about a few factors.

How much you think your visitors are worth.
How many clicks you want - are you achieving this with smaller bids?
Can you afford to pay more per click?

Just after posting this thread I raised my bids on two main keywords from 2p per click (low on page 2-3) to 15p (page 1 position 1-2) and the traffic has increased tenfold...just need to see how it converts now

Once you've had a few clicks, check how much you have paid for them. The amount you pay should be 1pence more than the next highest bid.

Hmm never knew that....paying 11p & 9p. One other thing I have noticed is the CTR falling would I be better off changing back to minimum bid or changing the ad text?
    thanks fizzbird

try running a few ads (3 or 4) with similar text (one word difference in each) and see which performs best. Make a slight change each time until you perfect it?

If you can stay on the first page for 9 to 11p then it makes sense to try and stay there. I'd adjust the times you advertise before reverting back to the minimum bid?

Also look at your keyword matching settings. If using broad match, it may be worth setting up exact or phrase match keyword groups to target punters more effectively and reduce the number of impressions. You may already be doing this though :-)

Put up your bid price. If your CTR increases your cost per click will eventually decrease
