We're on the brink of changing our website to a new, all singing, all dancing type affair! I've just been thinking of what i'll do come the changeover. One of these tasks will be to change many of the adword URL's to the new equivelents. Then I had a horrible thought........

Will doing this destroy the current ad quality scores we have now?

It's bound to have an effect. But your new url structure might be more search friendly so it could work in your favour?
I suspect it might be half a dozen of one and six of the other though?

Yea the URL structure should definatly be much more search friendly so should hopefully counteract any problems I suppose.

It will certainly have an impact short term on your QS however, as QS is now assessed in real time, if your landing pages are sh*t hot, your ad is relevant to the search term, you should then have no problem with getting your min bids, (or should I say your new front page min bids?) down to a respectable level.

Unless of course you believe some of the hype that's out there that Google will always penalise an affiliate site at the end of the day!

    The old anti-affiliates conspiracy
I think GeoffUK works directly for the merchant though?
