    Hello all,

I'd like to know what is the easiest way to study for the Google Adwords certification test?
I have to complete the Google Adwords certification in a few weeks time and the problem is I have no time. Does anyone out there have any tips on where I can find a good tutorial to study for the test?

    Thanks.

You can buy ebooks but first off try the AdWords Learning Center

sit the tests there as many times as you need to until you are scoring uber high.

also get used to thinking about the same question asked 2/3 different ways

The test is far more ecompassing now, it'll have stuff in it you maybe don't even touch like video/dispay ad sizes, and also ask you account management questions about things you may never have come across like billing limits, billing set up for bank transfers rather than credit cards etc.

read, learn, test, then keep doing it until you are sick of seeing the questions.. then do the test... then be amazed at how slack some of the questions are, some with multiple possible correct answers lol.. all good fun.

    hiya, Komrad,

The test is not easy. I got 88% but actually felt relieved to pass based on how much harder the exam is than the learning centre quizzes. I also spent a lot of time teaching 2 other people who now manage profitable adwords accounts day-to-day & they both just missed out.

anyway - here's what I did to revise:

    1. go through all of the adwords quizzes
    2. note down your scores for every part of every section (I did this in excel)
    3. any sections where I did bad but had an idea about, I went through the learning centre text lessons (i didn't like the video lessons really)
    4. any sections where I did badly & had no idea, I ran through it in the actual system - eg. set up all the different types of content campaigns, image ads, etc, look through the billing reports.
    5. after you've done all that, I went through the adwords quizzes again just to make sure.

The pass mark for the exam is 75%, but the test is harder than the quizzes. Try to aim for 90%+ on the quizzes.

    Bear in mind 1
actually taking the test, bear in mind that it's time limited. here was my strategy:

If you know an answer, go for it & move on.
If you don't know an answer, skip it & go back to it at the end.
Any that you vaguely know but not sure, answer it, tick the 'review later' box & move on.

    Bear in mind 2
Also bear in mind that some of the questions are wrong/out of date. I noted down 8 'dodgy' questions (including 2 where it was like "look at the following example" followed by no example). It's worth knowing this just to avoid wasting time looking for an answer where there may be none - could just be an out of date/dodgy question.

    Hope that helps.

    daniel
