Hi,
Does anyone know how Google allocates positions with advertisers paying in different currencies.
We have a UK account paying in USD and with the exchange rate at the moment not good we are looking at ways of saving money. Our clicks have not reduced but our spend has gone up considerably. For example if we spend $2000 per month we would have paid around £1,000 a few months ago but now we need to pay approx. £1,250. ie we are spending around 25% more for the same amount of clicks.
We are trying to work out if it would be beneficial to transfer our adgroups to an new £ account or if it wouldn't make any diference.
Does anyone know if Google calculates $ bids into £ then allocates positions or does it calculate £ bids ino $ and then allocates bids? I think what I am trying to say is, does Google's backend for the UK market work in $ or £?
As our clicks have not reduced I am assuming it must be in $ and anyone with a £ account we see a fall in clicks as their £ bids would be worth less. Does this make sense?![]()
