Has this happened to you?

Hi all,

Have had a strange problem with google adwords today.

They invoiced me on the 27th, as usual, for the outstanding balance on my account.

On the 1st December, the amount was debited from my account.....all fine so far.

However, I wake up this morning finding that there's another pending transaction on my account for the exact same value. It hasn't been debited yet, but it sure giving me cash flow problems this morning (bill payments at the start of the month and all) as my 'available balance' is a few hundred quid less than it should be.

Has this happened to you before? Is it just me this time around or has it happened to others on this payment cycle?

Morning Darren,

I am billed around the 18th of every month and it didn't (and has never) happened to me.

It sounds like a bit of a c*ck up. If your bank has it 'earmarked' as an outgoing transaction, I'd contact google and ask if they have made a mistake.
Hopefully then when /if it goes out tonight you may get it back quicker.

I bet this is one more thing you don't need before Chrimbo

We're being billed every third day this month roughly, and i haven't noticed any duplicate bills - i assure you i would if they happened :O)

Oh well, is still earmarked and the bank have informed me it will either be taken tonight, or my balance will sort itself out.....will report back......

Yes, fortunately......logged into my account this morning and the duplicate 'ear marked' funds have been realocated to my available balance

Google did reply..... although the explanation the google guy sent was around 600 words, to summarise, he said 'these things sometimes happen'.

Oh well, it sorted itself in the end.....I just hope it never happens again!
