Adwords spending more than my daily budget

Hi,

I just noticed that yesterday (Tuesday 9th March) my days spend on AdWords was £12 something.

My daily budget is only £8.00

I know Google credits you for over delivery, but this seems a bit much.

Has anybody else had the same happen to them?

Thanks

Daniel

It should be based on the entire month, so if you set a limit of £1 a day its really £30 a month so some days you could be over your limit but your monthly total would still be within your set limit.

I've had it go over by £100s occassionally - you just get a nice overdelivery credit at your next billing date. Don't complain

Hey well they gave me back a £30 credit just the other day. I have an account that I don't really use that much, basically bids at 0.04, daily budget at £1 per campaign; that sort of thing. So I only kind of check it every few days in case my cc gets unduly whacked.

Turns out some joker had been going clicky clicky all day on my listings, I hadn't even noticed but Google had so they credited me just like that. Not bad for being proactive. I can't believe that there are still guys out there who think they can get away with hitting their feed for hundreds of clicks a day and not get caught. Most PPCs will miss a few clicks down to fraud but clicking hundreds of times is just so obvious, if it was a proxy and same ip you might say yeah fair enough, if it was just 20 clicks or so but 300 odd clicks!

Its good to see Google chasing this stuff rather than relying on the advertiser to come to them.

On the other point, I would agree, its your total spend for the month that sometimes Google tries to match, thus your daily spend can go up and down and apparently over budget on some days.
