  Adwords impressions problem

Hey,

I have been stumped for a while on this problem, and thought maybe you guys here would have an idea of what I could do to sort it. It was my first ever attempt at AM, and it was a terrific success, at first. Then something happened, it may be to do with the new policy they brought out.

The product that I was using, almost imeadiately on a certain day or small period of days just stopped getting hardly any impressions. It was doing around 20 clicks a day and loads of impressions and now I'm lucky if I get one click a day.

I find it hard to believe that this is truly reflecting the number of searches that are taking place, they don't just drop like that do they? Anyway, I have a suspision that my merchent is bidding against me, because they have the premier spot for the keywords. This could mean that my ad would not be shown because of the url issue, but I wondered if this was true or not?

If it is the case, then surely the product itself is still profitable, just not through that merchant. There are hardly any ads for these popular keywords, which means it could be a gold mine and I don't want to leave it.

Should I try a different merchent to see if I could get more impressions or just set up a landing page and see? What else could be causing this?

Thanks for any help you might give me guys.

I cannot see why you would be suspiscous, either the mercahant is bidding or he is not. If he is and you are linking to the same doamain then i am afraid you are subject to the new Adword rules and your advert will not appear. Certainly try a landing page but remember CTR's and conversions will be lower.
