Unhappy splut.com ??? do you get the clicks ?

Can anyone please tell me some thing about splut ( usually which is invisible on their website) lol !

My site does not get a single click through splut, despite an active account, it has been good 5 days today.

Hi AJ,

I tried splut a couple of years ago - got a few clicks but not a huge amount + sorry to say it but the quality of the traffic I did get was pretty poor. They were very cheap clicks for the term I was buying on, but the volumes + the conversion rates were so low they weren't really worth it.

This could have vhanged since then - if anyone else has more recent experience good luck!

I put £25 in splut about 3 years ago..

If I could find that account again I bet it would have £28 in it now with the interest on it

You'd get more clicks from an advert on page 64 of the isle of sky pig breeder monthly magazine with a circulation of 9 !..and they'd be more liable to convert

well that's just in my experience ...

lol.. I like to tell it how it is good or bad

No point tap dancing around

I'm sure splut does convert for some people but I've never met one and I bet the chances of two happy splutter's meeting by accident are about on par with them sharing the same DNA markers !

Oh and for what it is worth, I found a reference in my stats to a page on splut which listed all the newly submitted sites and the names of the submitters. It also said whether they had a ppc account and I think they linked to the account page too. I think I ended up *IN* someone's ppc account and could have changed anything I liked. I didn't of course, but it seemed far from secure.

oh and i may be wrong but aren't they owned by the same people as UKbanners ? Either way UKbanners ripped us off about 4 years ago.

Same experience as Shane here, £25 3 years ago, still got a balance. On top of that it the site is really counter-intuitive to use.

  Talking

The splut directory is ok - (if you don't spend money on it lol).

I've only used splut for emtigo and it does send some users - a few of them have even registered

I'm near the top in my category mainly because alphabetically I am near the top anyway and because I link back to them! I've never spent any money on it but if your after free traffic and you don't mind putting a small graphic on your site it isn't all bad (and it won't cost you anything)
