This seems a reasonable place to post this. If im wrong, then feel free to give me a quick slap!

A week or 2 ago we invited some people here to beta test a new pay per click site we'd been playing with. All in all the testing has gone well - no one has broken it anyway! We're still working on some of the ideas the beta testers gave us, but we're very happy all in all, and feel it's ready to give you all a go.

Now we're not claiming to be Google Adwords! But we do have some advantages:

1. For many people we will be cheaper than other services. We dont have any minimum bids, as long as you are bidding at least 1p, and there are spaces where the ads are being shown, then your ad will be shown.

2. No making lists of keywords. All you have to do is choose from a list of categories. Your advert will then be displayed on pages with content that matches your advert.

3. Long Adverts. We allow adverts from just a few words, right through to 200 or so words - and we are finding that those who use 40+ words are getting more clicks.

4. Adverts are not labelled as adverts. There is no 'adverts displayed by' or similar notice on any of the sites/pages where adverts are displayed.

5. Live Stats. You have live stats that include status of your adverts, last 50 clicks including referrer, cost, IP, advert etc. You can tell which ads are showing, and which are not, you can suspend your adverts etc.

6. Minimum deposit is just £5. We're using Paypal as our payment processor at present, but more methods will be added in the future. You can deposit in multiples of £5, and the money hits your account immediately. There are no set up charges.

7 Quality Traffic. All the traffic is from the UK, none comes from pop-ups / pop-unders etc, it all comes from content sites. Obviously some categories have more traffic than others just like anywhere else. We have beta tester accounts that have spent there original deposits and more, and others that are trickling down day by day.

Hey Carl - Sounds v interesting, and will certainly have a look later for some of our properties. As already asked above, would like to know what sort of sites these ads will appear on, and also what sort of volume can I expect?

I've tried out the service this week, and it was all very simple to set up, and put ads up, which were live within 24 hours.

I'm concerned about click fraud here though - I've noticed several groups of clicks originating from the same IP addresses, and it looks like I've still been charged for those clicks.

The volume is not very high at all, but the quality (excluding the duplicate clicks above) appears pretty good.

My only other complaint is the reports - I've set up several campaigns, and there doesn't appear to be an easy way I can see at a glance how much I've spent, or how many clicks I've had for each campaign.

I'm sure these are all teething problems that will be ironed out with time, which could make this a nice little niche advertising opportunity.
