  Average Cost Per Click

Dear A4U Members

Could someone please indicate the Average Cost Per Click for keywords associated with the sale of contact lenses ? Due to the competitiveness of the sector, I am assuming the cost per click would be signifcant.

Any other information associated with sales conversion rates would be insightful.

Thank you.

This may give you an idea:

It's often completely innacurate though..

The best thing to do really is to knock up a quick 2 page site of contact lense content, and test it out. A budget of £50 would give you an indication of what is possible.

As a complete guess I would say somewhere between 50p and £1 a click to get volume, but I really have no idea.

  Re: Average Cost Per Click

I've just looked on Affiliate Window at the listed conversion rates for Get Lenses and Vision Direct, and they are both 10%. Usiing the data on AW, Get Lenses have an average order value of around £50, and Vision Direct about £100.

So at a quid a click and a more realistic conversion rate of 5%, you are looking at a cost per sale of about £20 on a £50 order. It's pretty normal for Google to get all your profit

You gotta have brand these days.
