  Invalid/Out of Date Ads ??

I'm getting more and more frustrated by the amount of ads being displayed by other ppc affiliates which are offering promotions which no longer exist.

A couple of the merchants I'm promoting had percentage discounts which have expired months ago.

Of course I cannot compete with these ads.
They are alot more appealing then mine.

Unfortunately the users must also be dissapointed when they click through and see no offer available.

I understand that some affiliates may not be aware their campaigns are out of date due to an oversight or lazyness - But is there anything that can be done to clean this up?

Can ads be reported?
Are the PPC engines bothered by this?

Would appreciate any thoughts

Mike

Yes but the conversions for the guys with out of date promo's will be lower than you because customers will get fed up quickly when they realise they have been duped!

Id rather 10 clicks a day with a 20% conversion rate than 100 clicks a day and a 1% rate because iv given the wrong info on the ad. Its not always about the quantity

Yes
Not really in reality - you'll find they take forever to do anything if ever

Thanks for your comments.

I didn't think there was an official way of sorting this out.

Findlite - The point is that it still ruins any of MY chances of creating a successfull campaign.
I agree that the users would be annoyed, but that doesn't help me in any way

Thanks
Mike
