Has been a lot of press coverage given to TheSchoolOfSeduction.com, so I was wondering if brand name bidding is allowed?

On Google they've got quite a bit of competition on the term 'School Of Seduction'. Although they have the number 1 slot on Adwords, their competition is filling most of the right hand side. A brand name bidding policy would fix this for them. They seem to have the term ‘The School Of Seduction’ covered, but I bet the other search term would be more popular.

Hi Matt... the affiliate program is being managed by a guy I know and a company I consult for, so I really do hope it succeeds

If you look through my posts for the last few years, you'll see that I prefer for things to be said and done publically. The reason for this is too many things are done 'behind the scenes' in affiliate marketing. Too many merchants have closed PPC bid circles and only allow their mates to bid on their brand names.

I could have emailed Ankit, who manages the program, privately and asked him the question I posed above; I might have been able to rig it, like many other people do, so that only I was allowed to bid on the brand name. But, by asking my question in public and hopefully receiving a response in public, it gives everybody equal access to information and everybody can compete equally.

What do you think Matt - is it better for these things to be discussed publically or privately?

Thanks for bring up the issue of Brand name bidding Nadeem - sorry it seems to have slipped the net.

To clear things up - Brand name bidding is not allowed on the term "The School of Seduction" yet any other combo is up for grabs
