My pc is on impulse power but refuse to buy a vista - i'm hanging on until January when Windows 7 comes out.
Hi,
I am planning to buy a new Laptop. My old laptop has Windows XP. The new laptop will have window vista business. I have no Idea about Window Vista Business. Has anyone used it? How is it different from Windows XP?
Any comments are welcome.

It crashes more often then XP and runs slower!
I tried my best to avoid vista aswell... Isn't up to scratch at the moment.
I did buy a netbook a couple of months ago which I managed to have with XP.
Take a look, If this is an option for you, there may still be some available like this.
Personally I found the netbook screen too small for what I wanted to do on it, so had to get a laptop aswell.
Unfortunately I had to get one with vista, and it sucks
Good luck

I've recently moved on to laptop with vista, and think it's great ? not had any problems since Feb' and love a lot of the functionality, it's easier, more user friendly and more integrated, like i've said not had any problems and been quite surprised considering, some of the negative reviews ..
Is this not just people resisting change.. I think most all the annoying bugs have been ironed out and I'd say go with it, rather than XP ...
I have Vista Ultimate, and must admit its behaved really well, and you quickly get used to interface.
You might want to hold out until windows 7, but it might have the usual teething problems associated with any new OS
There are some annoying things about it such as wireless is a bit odd sometimes as with some routers / access points it's hard to get it to accept a password, whereas others it instantly asks. Finding the settings can be a bit of a pain, but overall it works.
Overall it's kindof similar to XP, but most of the annoying stuff I've gotten around. Just remember to turn off User Account Controls which asks for confirmation about everything and really is overkill. Think it's turned off under Control Panel -> Security.
If you do have it on a network, XP can't see Vista without a hotfix on XP (quick search on google about xp network map will find it).
Wouldn't worry too much about it - you'll get used to it pretty quick...
