OK, I am going crazy trying to get this working, without manually adding in the watermarks I need.

Basically, I am putting together a site for an artist, and need to make sure that the artwork in the gallery is watermarked...unfortunately, I no longer have access to photoshop, which would be a dream, as I know how to do this as a saved command!

I'm trying to add a watermark to a large number of images, with the intention of being able to manually do this once, and subsequently automate it. The images are different sizes, and different aspects.

I've tried using paint.net and irfanview, to do this, and paint.net will allow something like what i want, with a new layer, whcih i can manipulate to be ok, but when trying to add the layers in to other images, the conversion is literal, rather than relative....thus when I start with a big image, and move to a small one, it cuts off half of the new layer, and the text in the watermark...

Has anyone got any suggestions as to how I can do this, otherwise I'm going to have to cancel the next 2 weeks to do all of these by hand, which I really do not want to do!!!

    Thanks

download a 30 day trial of photoshop !? or put it up as a job on a design forum, wouldn't take anyone with photoshop long to set up a batch process to do them all methinks so it'd be cheap as chips

if you use a mac you could probably use applescript in some way to process this

for pc you could download something separate and run it like these here Search results for : free vista batch watermark files (page 1). - FreeVistaFiles.com

You can use online services like PicMarkR which allows you to add watermarks on images on the fly without installing any software. The problem with it is that it has limited options and do not offer different font size and font types.
