I would say its because the class name needs to start with a letter, and not a number.

Hi, I was checking some updated pages against the W3c Validators and it failed the CSS on the following style
.550td {
margin: 2px;
border-style: ridge;
border-width: medium;
padding: 2px;
text-align: center;
position: relative;
}
Now I can use various apps to create CSS but unless it is obvious then I can't easily tell when there is something wrong (nor can Expression Web either apperently!)
Can anyone tell me what is wrong with this stlye or point me to an online resource that will explain the error
Thanks
Renners.
