You'll find it's usually footer.php just before the closing body tag - </body>
Hi.
I'm using Wordpress for the first time for one of my sites and would like to use Google Analytics to see how many visitors I get. I downloaded the Wordpress software and uploaded to my server was wondering which file I need to open up to add the code.
Thanks in advance.

From what you say you've got the right file location...
Google analytics can take a while to start showing the search traffic as there is a delay/lag, so you won't see them real-time, something like 24 hours I recall.
Thanks Danny, got it working. My web webhost was carrying out maintenance on their servers at the same time I was uploading the code to the footer page which is why Google couldn't track it.
Kylah16 - Just had a look at the theme options; that's look hell of a lot easier. Thanks for that. I'll use that method next time.
