Hi - I am not a techie person, but I need to create a database for use with an online form I have created. Can anyone tell me a simple way of doing this without the need of php programming.

You'll need to ask your web host to find out how their system manages mysql with your account.

The mysql is managed through Myphpadmin, but I don't understand the components, or how to attach it to the form on a web page. I have a little more understanding of Microsoft Access, but again, I do not know how to attach it to the form.

What I am trying to achieve is a vacancy list for clients to search through.

    Hi Jean,

I'd recommend taking a look at the tutorials on W3Schools as a good starting point

Heres one for MySQL that should get you started

    PHP MySQL Introduction

    Hope that helps

    Thanks
    Simon

    Snip >>
Some how you would need to do programing here to talk to a database .. either by java or php or if you are using a windows hosting you could you frontpage extensions

Dreamweaver CS4 will also allow you to connect to a database and do all the necessary coding for you without you even knowing the php coding (but at guess this would be a very sharp learning curve).

PM me if you need any more help

You really should teach yourself by going online like SimonQuick suggested, also really agree with the resource W3 as a good starting point also. I used to go there a lot

If you stick with it, it really is not as hard as at first it might seem....stick with it, and good luck
