for the second you could use something like this
Hi,
Could anyone point me in the correct direction..
I need help with the following 2 things..
1) I have tables on my website. I want people to be able to click on a column in the table so it sorts it into alphabetical order depending on what column it is
2) I want it so it I click a link, the page will expand to show an address and phone number under that link.
This is for an intranet site, so will have to be normally HTML. NO scripts or anything. Am I asking to much?
I am not sure what I am search for on the internet. Does anyone know what the above will be called?
Regards
Barry

Probably not what your looking for Barry, but if the tables were put into excel documents they could be opened from your site and then could be sorted by column.Originally Posted by bazza1603

It seems that the more I learn, the more I realise that I dont know.

Not an elegant solution by any means but why not have the column headers as links and then create multiple pages each with a copy of the table ordered by the relevant column, that way no script or waiting for the sort to happen, just open the page with the users option on it![]()

You'd have to do each page seperately and statically coded to pull it off without scripts mate unfortunately.
