    Hi,

    So far I haven't submitted my site to any search engines, nor linked to it, but somehow Google and Yahoo picked it up in October. Yahoo registered 70 pages, while Google registered 1 page. It seems that this code hasn't stopped Yahoo, so my question relates to MSN and Google.

    I have this code on each page - will it stop Google and MSN from being able to index the site?

    HTML Code:
    	  	<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    <!--hide
    		var answer = confirm ("Are You 18 or Over? Please click on OK to continue or CANCEL.")
    	if (!answer)
    		window.location="http://www.anothersite.com/"
    // -->
    </script>
    The site will be finished fairly soon, so I'm naturally anxious that it might continue with only one page registered on Google.

    Thanks if anyone knows.

    Cheers
    L

    I don't think it will stop the site being indexed. Low grade spiders will just ignore the javascript and carry on reading the rest of the page, and if yahoo have indexed the site, then the other SEs will have no problem.

    There are spider simulators which show you what the Search engine spiders will make of your site.

    Thanks Eskimo.

    Very helpful - I didn't know there were spider simulators - I just tried one and it spidered fine.

    Trust you're enjoying the weather! You should be able to build yourself a place to live soon.

    Cheers
