Thread: textfile into phpmyadmin

    okay i've bee nstumped by notepad, trying to import some data from a text file. something along the lines of 0,link,thing,etc

    phpmyadmin, I go to import, selelct to seperate fields by , but what should the lines be terminated by?

    the file is wrote in notepad but whatever I try, \r\n it only brings in one record

    any help much appreciated

    I've done this lots of times and it's so simple, that I wonder if you have something different in your set up, as I've no doubt you've tried this already.

    Type in each line in the text file and press enter. Separate each field with a comma, but no spaces.

    In phpmyadmin, just change the separator to comma when you import it.
    Make sure the number of fields matches the text file.
