good place to play about with font sizes is here http://www.w3schools.com/css/tryit.a...ycss_font-size
Hello
I'm having a problem with text appearing a lot larger through IE than in Firefox, and am using the AW ShowWindow client on my website www.mobiledealsnow.com
I've spent some time customising the site and integrating the content, however I have just recently noticed the over-sized text problem. I've checked the CSS file and this is fine, and I'm not sure what could be causing this problem.
Any advise or suggestions would be great, I've started quite a big advertising campaign which I am going to have to shelve if this isn't fixed quickly because the site looks terrible in IE!![]()
Many thanks in advance.

Cheers for the link Keith that looks like a handy website, though with this problem I don't think it would be the best.
I could try using the {font-size: 100%} parameter to control the text size on the index.php page and the footer, however:
1) Will this not effect the text size in Firefox, which is behaving correctly and without any problems
2) The issue is also affecting some left-hand menus, for example in the link below the Retailers menu to the left has over-sized text, as do category headings in Search:

I would just be a bit worried about trying to make a quick fix instead of curing this issue which is affecting the whole site. It was appearing fine in IE recently, though I have to admit I do forgot to check IE compatibility sometimes during testing as I use Firefox mainly.

p.i.t.a but you may need different css files for different browsers

Try that mateCode:<!--[if IE]> <style type="text/css"> body {font-size:12px; } </style> <![endif]-->![]()
Font size in IE is always a pain.
The best way I've found is to specify font sizes in pixels: eg 11px rather than other measurements. That way it displays the same size in either browser.
Thanks for the advice everyone, I got my problem sorted out eventually (it was a missing </h3> tag!!) but I'll bare what you have said in mind for the future.
