Review / Rating Software

Does anyone know of any decent review/rating software i can use for product/service reviews by visitors to a site? I'm talking vote up or down, and add comments if wanted.

I was hoping for something more along the lines of lovefilm, rather than amazon if you know what i mean, something very web2.0!

I've tried pligg but its a little clumbsy, and joomla/drupal require endless add on's to get it working!

(do my questions get more random everyday?!)

Ian did you manage to find anything suitable on Hotscripts as I have been looking for a while and finding that I am going round in circles and finding nothing thats any good?

Hey Barry, ermm, not really anything suitable to exactly what i wanted without a whole load of coding i could do myself with time! The best i found was wordpress with a ajax rating system, but got bored and decided to leave for the time being!

Cheers mate, I managed to download one that writes to txt files however its not suitable anymore as I need to get sitewide rating that can only be achieved if its based around a MySQL database. Yes your right I could make one but its a good couple of days work with my limited knowledge.

If anybody knows of a nice rating system that they have bought, sell or indeed if they could code one for a reasonable price - Please PM me to discuss things further (seasoned members pls)

Its just a simple 1- 10 star rating and leave a comment.

Yeah, no probs mate, the wordpress and ajax one did a good job of 1-10 stars but commenting was done seperately which was a problem. I need something completely different now (having thought about it) but don't know where to look.

Let me know if you find anything barry, and i'll do likewise.

Guys

We wrote a similar script recently that can enable you to edit/add reviews and vote up/down. If you still need one sorting and are prepared to shell out a few quid then I'll have something available for you.

Just a quick update.

Donk is incorporating Ajax into the system as well. He should hopefully have a display version with dummy database by the end of the weekend for everyone to view. This'll be the off the shelf version.

So thanks to the affiliates who have pm'd me about the software. You can see a working copy soon.
