I've read on here about affilistore - haven't used it myself though
Hi All
I'm making a list of all the dev tools available (from the networks and 3rd party) allowing you to quickly create a fully fledged shopping site. So far I have ShopWindow from Affiliate Window and pricetapestry.com.
Please let me know of any others.
EDIT - Thanks all for the suggestions, the updated list is here:

Also, any comments on what tools you like using, particularly those from the big networks, very welcome in this thread.

Anyone got any more suggestions?

PageRank10 was supplying some tools at one time. Also Convertafeed.
I don't know if you want to include Popshops and Golden Can who work on a 1 click out of 4 "charge" and suppliers of API like shopping com, ebay and google etc.
They came for my 404 and I said nothing
accelerator - feel free to add my new affiliate tool Datafeed Studio to your list, it can create price comparison sites, niche online stores and standalone product compare pages.
If you require any further information please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thanks,

Hi,
I'm new to the forum and industry, so HELLO. I have been working on a different industry for the past year and 1/2, but decided to have a go at retail.
I saw your list of tools and am trying the free affilistore to get the feel of it. I did find it, how should I say, unflexible for non PHP experts, in terms of customizing it. I might need to learn PHP.
My question is, from all the tools mentioned here, which ones would you guys recommend from experience? What's the most robust and easy to personalise?
Thanks in advance
It depends a lot on exactly what you want to do. I've been trialling a few of these tools lately and here is some feedback:
Buy.at Content Engine - Quite easy to get going and create units for your page. Can use search to populate content, which is good because it means the units won't go out of date.
POR Content Units - Ready to Go for certain merchants so really easy if some of the merchants match your requirements.
Amazon Astore - Very powerful and not difficult to get going. An easy way to create a full store. Again, can use search to populate content so it won't go out of date.
Awin ShopWindow - A good option if you want an "out of the box" price comparison site.
Hope that helps.

Thanks accelerator. The only thing about those tools is that they're program specific, right? My idea is to do a price comparison site with TD AW and BA products and merchants, what would you reccomend for that? I looked at Affilistore and I can do this but i currently have more than 50 merchants subscribed and loading feed by feed and updating them regularly seems to me like a terrifying task, unless I'm missing something on the tool that would make it easier. Also the categories are all messed up. What do you guys suggest?
Cheerio
Most tools should come with some automation capability, so once set-up they will download feeds from your affiliate networks and import them automatically into your database.

Hi accelerator,
If you need any help with the buy.at Content Engine then please let me know, I'm avalailable by email below or my direct number is 0207 299 8383.
Also, a brand new innovation that we have just launched is our Interactive Video Creative. I'm not sure if this is something relevant to your needs, however I thought I would give it a plug anyhow ;-)
Cheers

Hi accelerator and gurus,
I've been studying these tools and tried to go with affilistore. I'm finding a problem tough and you guys might be able to suggest something here. My website is intended to feature AW but@ and TD, having about 60 merchants and 3M products from the feeds. My problem is affilistore doesn't seem to cope with these numbers. From your experience is there any solution that would cope with something like this? Also in terms of hosting, any suggestions on how to create this without crashing servers?
Thanks
Drop me an email. My system easily handles that number but I'd need to find out what specs you're operating with first and also what application you expect the site to perform.

Hi Thames
If you feel it necessary to use feeds from multiple networks on the same site, then you will need to use a third party tool or develop something yourself. As this is not something I'm doing myself at the moment, I can't share any experience I'm afraid (I am using the ready to go tools from the networks). I am assuming here that you are relatively new to this and this is your first feed driven site (my apologies if this is not the case), and all I can say is that if you are having development headaches, then don't be afraid to keep the tech side of it simple to begin with, e.g. cut down the number of feeds you use or use a single affiliate network's tools etc etc. My philosophy would be to focus on building traffic to the site and then you can always enhance the technology later.
