motty ..pm tbp .. he's s*** hot with php![]()
Hi
Just wondering if anybody on here is willing to write me a short script. It goes without saying that I'm willing to pay the going hourly rate.
I would like to extract certain elements of the Laterooms.com xml and include them on my site.
Querying an individual hotel would returns data containing data such as:
<hotel_no_of_rooms>10</hotel_no_of_rooms>
<prices_from>52.00</prices_from>
<rack_rate>60.00</rack_rate>
So I'd need a php function which I guess would look something like this:
function_extract(hotelid,prices_from)
which would just return the figure '52' (in the above case) and display it on my site.
There's likely to be plenty of bits and pieces of work in the future. Would be great if you could be based in North West England, but not a requirement. Just need somebody to do this really.
PM me if interested.
David

Try magicparser - dead easy, the online demo generator will create the code you need for laterooms dead easy (just paste the xml into the text box), and you can use it for other stuff as well. You also get the excellent pricetapestry for free, and it's probably less than a decent programmer would charge for an hours work.

Thanks everyone, tbp got in touch earlier this week and did an excellent job. Magic Parser also looks very interesting and I'll certainly look into it for any future needs.
Thanks again everyone.
